This 584 sf addition added a bedroom, bath and office to the 60's ranch without
disruption to the existing home. The owners have a love of mid-century design
and appreciate a modern aesthetic. Projecting south face boxes have high
efficiency windows and passive solar design. Detailing includes a stair that
doubles as kids' bench, interior windows to pull light throughout and a sculptural
shower. The new bedroom suite is filled with diffuse light and framed views to
the adjacent woods.
